The reason for chosing the 485 is that i have been a German car driver for 8 years (VW)and i found the build quality within this van to compare.
The lack of lighting over the dresser needs to be sorted out!
Dealers should be better informend on operational facts, seems silly just try to open the battery box by pressing one button at a time, in fact do not try it it does not work it just jams,
How many owners know that they have a pair of wheel chocks straped to the underside of the van towards the front.
I have taken out the table storage divider in the wardrobe, waste of space, for transport the table fits well on the floor, then into the awning or under the seats on site.
I fell it to difficult/impossible to make any proper crtisisem to a great van.
And by the way i forget it is on the back of my Passat, tows fantastic solid as a rock.
Part 2
I liked the look of the
van, the consruction, the 5 year g/t against water ingress that says a lot about hidden detail.
There are only two things that need major improvement the table storage inside the wardrobe, waste of
space, with a little thought the table fits perfectly on the right hand side of the door entrance from outside (decide on securing brackets yourselves) the other point that is well out of order and not noticable until nightfall is the lack of lighting onto the dresser,it makes meal preperation like working in a
cave, I would estimate £20 on the price of the van should cure this insult!.Perhaps in Germany they have not heard the
proverb, dont spoil the ship for an halfpenny of tar.
But to be serious 99% of the van is o/k just get these daft things put right.
PS Have you all found your hidden wheel chocks? under the van each side towards the front, there top quality.
