We first ventured into caravaning five years ago with our purchase from Wandahome,South Cave of an ABI ACE Airstream which we had some very happy times in, both in the UK & France. We did eventually have a problem with leaks and had to have an interior side panel replaced under warranty. We replaced the ACE with a Compass Omega 432,wandahomes special anniversary 2003 edition with all the knobs & whistles. Big mistake! it was a problem from day one culminating in June 04 of the back panel splitting( the 5th one returned to wanderhome under warranty this year) so we said we'd had had enough and did a deal to exchange it for the Geist LV535

We have just returned from our inaugural trip to France. 1,300 miles in two weeks. The van towed very well although I do notice an increase in petrol consumption, I have averaged 22/24 mpg with a Space waggon 2.5GLS

Few minor items on the hit list when we got back. Left hand side front gas locker lock refused to lock, pull out centre for the bed collapsed. The electrical panel at the right hand side of the cooker not fitted properly.

We chose the van because of the five year guarantee against water ingress. We wanted the dinette layout of the 535. We preferred the lighter green colour to the blue. Geist changed over to off side the drains from the shower and sink so the waste water doesn't come out in the awning before we used it.

Main complaint is the table in the wardrobe in the bathroom takes up too much space, we intend to rectify this before next year.
